A surreal moment – a dream, perhaps? – when Enrique leaves home and heads for the mountains. As he bids farewell to his loving wife, an old coachman appears and offers his assistance. The first performance of a short new opera for three singers.

In Windsor Forest – Vaughan Williams

A choral cantata from Vaughan William’s opera Sir John in Love first performed in 1929. The composer himself wrote the libretto drawn from Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor.
